Baylor-Uganda with support from CDC/PEPFAR has integrated paediatric HIV/AIDS services in 32 health facilities in 29 districts in Uganda. However the rate of diagnosis of HIV among children is still very low for most upcountry facilities. To quickly diagnose and enroll HIV infected children into care, the program planned to implement "Know Your Child's HIV Status days", a specific strategy intended for mobilization of HIV positive adults to bring children in their care/families for HIV counseling and testing and eventual enrollment into HIV/AIDS treatment and care. The findings so far show an average positivity rate of 4.1% yet the national average is 1%. With this campaign, Baylor-Uganda is able to enroll about 150 HIV infected children into care every quarter in the upcountry sites so far supported.

An overwhelming turnout for the campaign in Oyam District, Northern Uganda.
