HIV Starter Kit

The staff of the Texas Pediatric HIV Resource Center has developed a pediatric HIV "Starter Kit". This kit consists of the following:

  • Guidelines for the use of antiretroviral agents in pediatric HIV Infection (available at www.hivatis.org)
  • Public Health Service Task Force recommendations for the use of antiretroviral drugs in pregnant women infected with HIV-1 for maternal health and for reducing perinatal HIV-1 transmission in the United States (available at www.hivatis.org)
  • 1999 USPHS/IDSA guidelines for the prevention of opportunistic infections in persons infected with human immunodeficiency virus (available at www.hivatis.org)
  • Options for Children: A Guide to Antiretroviral Therapies.
