Identification and Selection of Trainees

Potential international trainees are identified from among those individuals working in HIV/AIDS centers or on HIV-related research in universities, medical schools, and dental schools, in Romania, Mexico, and five countries in southern Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Swaziland). Pediatric residents and postdoctoral fellows from any U.S. medical school are eligible to apply for short-term training experiences in Romania and Africa.
