BIPAI offers a comprehensive program of primary and specialty health care
|
The Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative Team serves as an educational resource to community groups, academic institutions, and health-care institutions locally and regionally. Over the past year alone, the team has given over 50 presentations on the subject of pediatric HIV infection. BIPAI supervises elective rotations in pediatric HIV for medical students, pediatric residents, and postdoctoral fellows from Baylor College of Medicine. Medical students and pediatric residents from other U.S. medical schools also are welcomed. Team members supervise elective experiences in pediatric HIV for undergraduate and graduate nursing students from Texas Women's University, the University of Texas, and Houston Baptist University, as well as social work interns from area universities.
