June CaseJoey is a 7 year-old boy with HIV infection who comes to the clinic with a painful, vesicular, crusting rash across the left side of his face, neck and upper chest. The rash does not extend across the midline of his body. Prior to the appearance of the rash he experienced burning pain and itching in the area where the rash subsequently appeared.
